I am excited to launch the Professional Learning Hub—a central space designed to give every educator in West Genesee instant, practical support for instruction, assessment, differentiation, and more. Whether you are looking for a quick strategy to spark student engagement tomorrow morning or need help scaffolding a complex unit, the Hub is built to save you time while elevating classroom practice.
What’s Inside the Hub?The Hub is organized into two core areas:
- The Gems Vault: A collection of Gems, custom-built Gemini AI tools tailored specifically to our district’s frameworks, state standards, and instructional priorities. From building scaffolded lessons to creating active learning scripts and de-escalation protocols, these Gems act as your 24/7 instructional partner.
- The Learning Challenges: Self-paced, bite-sized mini-courses designed to help you build confidence on a variety of topics at your own speed—turning big concepts into simple, everyday classroom routines.
Here is the most exciting part: this entire Hub was built almost exclusively using AI. By pairing human pedagogical vision with custom AI prompt engineering, I engineered the underlying system instructions, designed the responsive code for the Vault's visual grid, mapped out learning challenges, and curated targeted instruction for all of the Gems. It serves as a real-world proof of concept: when educators direct AI with clear parameters, we can build high-quality, high-impact tools in a fraction of the time.
