Do you say GIF with a soft g like the peanut butter brand, JIF? Or do you pronounce it with a hard g like the word "gift" (without the t)? Regardless of the pronunciation, GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format and are a type of animated image file. Inserting a GIF into a Google Slides presentation is a fun way to communicate with your audience. Eoghan Young has taken it upon himself to collect and categorize a variety of GIFs for teachers and students to insert into their Slide Decks. Feel free to make a copy of his work! Like other image files, the GIFs that are shared on the Slide Deck can be copied and pasted into your own Google Slides presentations. And for what it's worth, you can read more about the GIF/JIF debate here.
Looking for a one stop shop for educational #gifs? I’ve made @GoogleForEdu #slides to help make my teaching materials more engaging for my learners.
