Chrome Extensions are software programs that help users customize their experience on the Internet. Unlike the early days of computing, there is no need to install software on your computer. Users can simply log in to their Google Chrome account, visit the
Chrome Web Store, and install extensions to the browser rather than the computer. This way, software is attached to your
account rather than your
device. Feel free to make a copy of my
Chrome Extensions Cheat Sheet for some of my favorite Chrome Extensions for educators.
Please note: Secondary students (grades 6-8) have the privilege of installing extensions on their own. If elementary teachers want their students to utilize a specific Chrome Extension, please contact the Instructional Technology office to have it pushed out to students.
