Welcome!

My name is Rob Leo and I am Coordinator for Instructional Technology Training at West Genesee Central Schools, a newly created position to lead the district's instructional technology and professional development initiatives. Previously, I worked as the Model Schools Coordinator at the Central New York Regional Information Center, where I led a team of instructional technologists that planned and delivered professional development related to instructional technology integration for teachers throughout Central New York. Prior to my career in education leadership, I worked as a social studies teacher at West Genesee High School for thirteen years, a bilingual education teacher at Shea Middle School in the Syracuse City School District for a year, and an ESL teacher in Seoul, South Korea, for a year.

Throughout the year, you can expect a weekly blog post that offers a brief "tech tip" in support of meaningful instructional technology tools and strategies. I would also welcome collaborating with you to support your instructional goals. Feel free to contact me to:

  • collaboratively plan technology-rich lessons
  • work with you shoulder-to-shoulder in your classroom to model lessons for you and your students
  • informally observe your teaching and offer suggestions for meaningful instructional technology integration
  • answer your individual questions about how to best utilize instructional technology tools
  • demonstrate various instructional technology tools for you and your department/grade-level teams during common planning and meeting times
You can view my calendar, contact information, and a library full of on-demand instructional technology video tutorials as well as links to other resources at my Instructional Technology Training website. I am looking forward to working with you!
